A CITY café is here to stay, the owner has assured customers after it was spotted for sale online.

Charlie’s Café Bar in Sidbury is currently listed for sale on Rightmove, marketed by Christie & Co.

Owner Frances Fosh says she had previously put it on the market but later decided to keep the business and called the estate agents to remove the listing last September.

When asked about the listing, she said: “That’s the first I’ve heard of it and I own it.

“I have owned the café since 1986 and it is not up for sale.

“That has nothing to do with me.”

Ms Fosh explained she put the property up for sale briefly last year with Christie & Co.

However, she says that due to a change of heart, she took it off the market in September.

Noel Moffitt, corporate director at Christie & Co, has today (May 11) confirmed the listing should soon be taken down from their website, following discussions with Ms Fosh.
